Update 9/16/12:

This has been an amazing year of The Water Underground.  We shot footage of The Gold Fish Film, performed The Gold Fish 5 times, including a co-production by CounterPULSE in July, and hosted an array of outreach and fundraising water related activities as part of the Water Underground Spring Ever Flowing!

Currently we are honored to join with Jose Navarrete and Violeta Luna to offer the studio exercise, “Truth in Labeling”, as part of Take II, Atlacualo, The Ceasing of Water.

Upcoming adventures include participating in the 2012 Bay-Delta Science Conference in Sacramento, California on October 16-18, 2012.

Update: We’re in production for The Gold Fish Film! Click here for more shots and support our Indie GoGo campaign.

On the set of The Gold Fish at Theater Yugen in San Francisco.

The Gold Fish is a one-act slapstick musical wherein a poor wayfaring Salmon has to pawn her eggs to gamble for river passage! A Nymph casino dealer confronts its water wars PTSD! The Army Chorus of Engineers gets lost! The Water Tycoon’s dirty dealing ends in cataclysmic wash-out! And the Riparian Dispossessed Choir arises!

The Water Underground is a loose and variously membered cadre of artists, scientists, and water activists who share the revolutionary hope for water to rise. We position ourselves not within the static preordained water infrastructure contemporary society takes for granted– but as part of a living, shifting nexus of natural, technological, social, and spiritual forces.

  1. I do agree with all of the ideas you have presented in your post. They’re really convincing and will definitely work. Still, the posts are too short for novices. Could you please extend them a little from next time? Thanks for the post.
